A Basehor man has pleaded guilty to making a criminal threat and criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, according to a news release from the County Attorney's Office.

Vietnam War military memorabilia on display at museum
More than 50 years ago, the United States withdrew its military forces from Vietnam. To collect and preserve memories and stories from those Vietnam veterans as well as their families, the Humanities Kansas organization has awarded grants to 11 communities, including the Basehor Historical Museum Society.Last year, volunteers at the museum began the laborious task of applying for one of the grants and were excited to find out that the museum would receive a $3,000 grant to help with purchasing the equipment needed to capture those memories from local veterans.
