Book sale raises money for library programming
Twice each year, Basehor Community Library hosts a used book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Library aimed at raising funds to support programming and other library activities. That sale was held last weekend and it offered citizens the opportunity to purchase books and other library material at great prices.

No injuries were reported following a fire at a Leavenworth duplex apartment, a Fire Department official said. The fire was reported at 10:08 p.m.
