Bank honored for commitment to veterans

The nonprofit Consumer Federation of America (CFA) has awarded Armed Forces Bank – a full-service military bank committed to serving those who serve since 1907 – with high honors recognizing the bank’s commitment to the financial well-being of veterans. Armed Forces Bank received the Veteran Saves Week “Community Impact” and “Designation of Savings Excellence” Awards.Veteran Saves is a program under the America Saves umbrella and is coordinated by the CFA.

USM sends 15 business students to national competition

The University of Saint Mary recently hosted the Kansas Collegiate Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) state competition. Seven Kansas universities participated, with approximately 100 students competing in a variety of business-related events, showcasing their knowledge and skills in areas such as job interviews, accounting and finance, business management, marketing and sales, entrepreneurial pitch, business ethics, public speaking and hospitality management.USM had a strong presence at the competition, with all 15 participating students earning spots at the FBLA National Leadership Conference, which will be held May 31 in Dallas.
