Tax cuts, medical marijuana and critical race theory are among some of the issues state lawmakers from Leavenworth County anticipate may come up during their upcoming session. Members of the Kansas House of Representatives and state Senate are scheduled to begin the 2022 session Monday in Topeka.
Porkchop, a friendly terrier mix, is available for adoption at Leavenworth Animal Control. He is very friendly and knows the sit command. Porkchop is neutered and vaccinated. He would do best as an indoor dog with a fenced in yard. The Leavenworth Animal Control shelter, where the Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society volunteers, needs help in getting some dogs adopted into loving, forever homes.
