2 found fatally shot inside home in Fort Scott FORT SCOTT – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Fort Scott police are investigating after two people were found shot to death inside a home. Police were called Tuesday night after someone found a woman had been shot.

Fire safety urged during holidays

Christmas Day and Christmas Eve are among the leading days each year for house fires in the United States, according to the National Fire Protection Association. However, Leavenworth Fire Chief Gary Birch said many of the fire risks this season can be reduced through common sense measures.
