City of Leavenworth offices will be closed Friday and Dec. 31 for the holidays. City Hall will also close at noon Thursday. The operator of skid-steer loader was killed in an accident on private property in northern Leavenworth County, according to an official with the Sheriff's Office. The accident was reported at 5:45 p.m.
The Lansing Lions Club recently participated in the Lions Clubs International Peace Poster contest. Thirty-one students from Lansing Middle School submitted posters for the contest. MEXICO CITY – Mexican drug cartels are turning to bigger, more productive labs to churn out increasing quantities of synthetic drugs such as meth and fentanyl, according to seizure figures issued Monday by the country’s Defense Department.
MINNEAPOLIS – A jury resumed deliberations Tuesday in the trial of the former suburban Minneapolis police officer who says she meant to use her Taser instead of her gun when she shot and killed Black motorist Daunte Wright.
The Leavenworth County Health Department has reported two additional deaths related to COVID-19. The deaths were reported as part of a weekly COVID-19 update released Monday.
