PWOC Two Fort Leavenworth women’s religious organizations recently hosted fellowship-themed Christmas and Advent programs to celebrate the season. Unified School District 207 Deputy Superintendent Dr. SuAnn Grant announced that the district earned the Kansas State Department of Education’s 2021 Star Award recognition during the monthly USD 207 Board of Education meeting Dec. 13 at the district office. The Behavioral Health Clinic at Munson Army Health Center continues to serve beneficiaries during the holidays with both faceto face and virtual appointments. One way MAHC intends to provide constant and dedicated care to behavioral health patients is through virtual appointments.

Kansas has yet to officially record a case of the new omicron variant as the delta coronavirus strain continues to be behind a COVID-19 surge that has filled hospitals. Three of the four states bordering Kansas have confirmed omicron cases and Matt Lara, a spokesperson for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, said it is “very likely the new variant is here and we just haven’t found it yet.” Two cases were suspected of being omicron in recent days but were sequenced and determined to be the delta variant, Lara added.

He has responsibility for the ultraviolet light system that treats wastewater at the plant, which includes service, operation, maintenance and inventory.
