ARTER ATRIUM DEDICATED

Training and Doctrine Command Commander Gen. Paul Funk II and former Lt. Gov.Gary Sherrer go through a receiving line to greet retired Lt. Gen. Robert Arter and Lois Arter after a recent ceremony dedicating Arter Atrium in the couple’s honor at the Lewis and Clark Center on Fort Leavenworth. SCOUTS VISIT CAPITOL

Members of Leavenworth Scouts BSA Troop 167 recently visited the Kansas State Capitol to learn how state government works. Sen. Jeff Pittman led the group on a tour of the two legislative chambers and had the Scouts participate in a roleplaying exercise to see how laws are formulated, debated, amended and ultimately voted on in the state Legislature.
