Second trash bag delivery planned for Saturday
Last month, trash bags were delivered to residents in about half of the city of Leavenworth. And garbage bags are scheduled to be delivered Saturday to homes in the remaining portion of the city.

SCOUTS VISIT CAPITOL
Members of Leavenworth Scouts BSA Troop 167 recently visited the Kansas State Capitol to learn how state government works. Sen. Jeff Pittman led the group on a tour of the two legislative chambers and had the Scouts participate in a roleplaying exercise to see how laws are formulated, debated, amended and ultimately voted on in the state Legislature.
