Sister Mary Marcianna Trujillo, 92, a Sister of Charity of Leavenworth (SCL) for 73 years died on September 16, 2022, in Ross Hall at the Mother House in Leavenworth. She was a devoted soul who loved her various ministries, her family, friends, and SCL Community. She was an inspiration to many. Justin Luis Donlon, 47, of Leavenworth, a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and proud Army soldier, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born to Roger and Norma Donlon on April 22, 1975, in Columbus, Ga. Justin grew up in an Army family and lived at many stateside Army posts as well as Panama and Japan. He was a 1993 graduate of Leavenworth High School and attended the Citadel in Charleston, S.C. and Park University in Parkville, Mo. Justin joined the Kansas Army National Guard in 1992 and was activated after 9/11/2001. Serving in Germany, at Fort Benning, Ga. and Fort Bragg, N.C. He was medically retired in 2010 and chose to return to Leavenworth to be with his daughter and family. His fondest memories as a child were at Ft. Leavenworth. Justin is survived by his parents; daughter, Elise Claire Donlon; granddaughter, Willow Faye Donlon-Campbell; sister, Linda Danninger and husband, Paul; two brothers, Jason and wife, Lori and Derek Donlon; four nieces, Alicia, Justine and husband Adam, Jordan and Aurelia; one nephew, Griffin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He loved Siberian Huskies and had three of his own, Yancha I, Geisha and Yancha II, who preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home, 4701 10th Avenue, Leavenworth, Kan. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 727 Osage Street, Leavenworth, Kan. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider a donation to the future education of Justin’s granddaughter, Willow. You may send these donations to her great-grandparents, Roger or Norma Donlon.
