James C. Slavens, 52, of Lee’s Summit, Mo. passed away from an accident on June 7, 2022. He left behind daughter Laura and son James Jr., his mother Lana Slavens and father Joseph Slavens, sister Tracie Irvan and grandmother Darline Yelenick. He graduated from Lawrence High School and Parkville University. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy.

Jeffery Kyle Dedeke went to be with the Lord on June 11 at the age of 54. Jeff is lovingly remembered by his wife, Tammy; children, Kelsey and Eli; daughter-in-law, Haley; granddaughters, Lynlee and Preslee; parents, Larry and Sharon; sister, Shell Kueter; father-in-law, David Morris; brothers, Andy (Wendy) and Matt (Jean); and many nieces and nephews.
Bradford Ray Burchyett, 72, of Tonganoxie died Friday, June 10, 2022, at Advent Health in Shawnee, Kan. He was born January 26, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., to Raymond and Lois (Colyer) Burchyett. Brad grew up in McClure, Ill. He attended Southeast Missouri State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1972 and later attended The University of Southern California, earning a Master of Science degree in Information Systems Management in 1988.
Daniel Frederick Pellman, 85, of Leavenworth passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at the Select Specialty Hospital, Kansas City, Kan., surrounded by his family. Daniel is survived by Harriett Pellman, wife for 54 years, son Todd Pellman and daughter Shanda Cooper. Brother George Pellman. Two grandchildren.
