Billy (Bill) Rodell Coppinger, 67, passed away April 22, 2022, at home with his family by his side. Bill was born September 10, 1954, the only child of George “Lolly” and Wilma (Conner) Coppinger. In 1972 Bill graduated from Jefferson County North High School. He then traveled around the south working with multiple construction companies on various projects. On June 3, 1978, his greatest adventure began when he married Sheryl Domann at Corpus Christi Church, Mooney Creek. Bill worked in the construction trade all his life. He and Sheryl owned and operated B.R. Coppinger Construction, LTD for 40 years building homes and developing subdivisions in Leavenworth, Platte, and Douglas counties. Together they built a thriving business teaching their children the trade along the way.

“Through the ears of a mule, blow the winds of heaven.” From an Arab proverb Marguerite Eleanor Bayles Sloan, 90, died peacefully on April 15, 2022 at her home in Forsyth, Missouri. Marguerite was born on October 3, 1931 at her grandmother’s home in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Marietta Golterman Riese, passed away April 19, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born in Plentywood, Mont., and had been a resident of Leavenworth for 53 years.

Shirley passed away on April 20th, 2022 She was born March 20th, 1943 at Cushing Memorial Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. Parents Hortense and Sherman L.

Mary Lee Welch-Zule, 77, of Leavenworth passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 3, 1944, in Leavenworth, Kan., to Joseph and Opal (Cline) Welch.
