Moving on from Donald John Trump

To the editor:There are few people in this world I find more detestable than the current president of the United States, Donald John Trump. Now whenever my mind is filled with negative thoughts about a particular individual, I try to picture that individual as a helpless, innocent and adorable baby who needs to feel loved, valued, appreciated and cared for by his or her parents. Because that makes it easier for me to see that individual as a fellow child of God who is worthy of love, kindness and compassion and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. With this in mind, then, I attempt to envision a New York City scene from 1946 to 1948 or so when little Donald John was either crawling around on the living room floor or clumsily walking across the kitchen floor while his proud parents looked on.Yes, that image of a loveable little Donald John (I try to ignore that silver spoon sticking out of his mouth) helps me some these days.
