Former Lansing star excels on college squad

Lansing’s Kamryn Farris has added yet another feather in her cap.The former Lions’ volleyball standout and Class 5A state champ continues to compile an awesome college career, playing in her 100th career match for the University of South Dakota Thursday night, as the Coyotes drubbed Green Bay 3-0.Now a senior, the 5-foot-11 Farris is the reigning Summit League Defensive Player of the Year. She and the Coyotes are currently 5-2 and have won three straight.Local fans can catch Farris and Co.

Fargo eliminates Monarchs from playoffs

The Kansas City Monarchs 2025 season was cut short in a tightly contested Game 3.The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks bounced the Monarchs 6-0 on Saturday night at Legends Field. The RedHawks advance to face the Sioux Falls Canaries in the West Division Championship Series.RedHawks starting pitcher Tyler Jandron (1-0) put together a stellar performance.

Pioneers show resolve in losing effort

Sometimes, the final score does not begin to tell the story.Not even close.Such was the case Tuesday night at Pioneer Stadium, where the host Leavenworth boys’ soccer team dropped a tough season opener to Topeka’s Highland Park. While the scoreboard read 5-2 as the final outcome, fans just checking out the results would be missing the point.
