A pair of noted walleye anglers that had won several past tournaments, large sums of money and boats were declared the winners with weights over 33 pounds, five pounds more than their closest competitors. Lansing girls finish third in UKC
With four girls finishing in the top 20, Lansing placed third at the United Kansas Conference cross country meet Thursday in Topeka. Running at Shawnee Heights High School, Rebekah Tanner led the Lions, finishing 12th in 21 minutes, 16.3 seconds.

Raiders’ Davante Adams charged for shoving photographer
Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams has been charged with misdemeanor assault for shoving a photographer to the ground as he left the field following a loss at Kansas City. Kansas City, Missouri, police said Adams pushed Ryan Zebley to the ground while running off the field following the Raiders’ 30-29 loss to the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night.
