LEAVENWORTH – Dixie Rose Dickson, 89, of Leavenworth, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at her home in Lansing, Kansas.
Ms. Dickson was born April 11, 1932, in Leavenworth, a daughter of Edgar C. and Ethel C. Tate Dickson. She lived most of her life in Leavenworth.
She retired from the federal government in May 1987 with more than 33 years of service. At the time of her retirement, she was the Production Editor for the Military Review, the official publication of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
She is survived by two sons, Nicholas T. Dominguez and his wife Tammy of Lansing and Damian E. Dominguez of Leavenworth. Other survivors include a sister, Betty L. Nakata; granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William T. Dickson, Edwin C. Dickson, and Ralph E. Dickson; and a sister E. Nadine Dickson Burke.
The body will be cremated and entombment will be in the mausoleum at Mount Muncie Cemetery. At her request there will be no memorial service.
