Donna Jean Murry died December 6, 2022 at Anew Health Care in Easton, Kansas. She was born to Charles and Armada Imel Lovelady in rural Cherokee county Kansas. After leaving the farm they moved to Colorado, and later Texas, before settling in Oswego Kansas. She graduated from High School in 1944 and moved to Dodge City where she worked for a year. She then moved to Kansas City to work, where she met and married Thomas L. Murry in 1948. They lived in Kansas City until 1951 when they moved to Olathe. After two years they moved to a farm near Tonganoxie, living there five years.

In 1958 they moved to a farm near Jarbalo. Thomas died in 2007 and Mrs. Murry moved to Leavenworth. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, her parents, two sisters, and two sons, Tom Jr. and Tim. She is survived by sons Michael (Sue) Salina, Pat (Jeannie) Olathe, Jim (Jean) of rural Leavenworth, and daughter-in-law Cindy from Tonganoxie, three former daughters-in-law, Verna Cutright, Cheryl Woolery and Diane Forshee, nine grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Leavenworth or a charity of the donor’s choice. Services will be December 17, 2022 at 12:00pm, Charter Funerals, Leavenworth, interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
