Freda Knight “Connie” passed away on August 30, 2022, in Leavenworth. She was born on June 27, 1942, to Idamae Gurss Ingersoll and Vincent “Bink” Ingersoll.

She graduated from Leavenworth High in 1960. She married Kenneth Knight in 1965, they were married until his death in 2015.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Knight, brother Tom Ingersoll, niece Wendi Ingersoll, and granddaughter Megan Mooney.

She is survived by her sister Sherry Ruger, Nebraska, her daughters, Michelle Mooney (Terry), White Cloud, Kan., Libbi Spears (Clay), Leavenworth, Kan., Kendra Knight (Matt Woods), Tonganoxie, Kan., Kristin Dixon, Leavenworth, seven grandchildren, Christopher, Stephanie, Samantha, Matthew, Charlotte, McKelvey and Reese, and three great-grandchildren, her sisters-in-law, Margaret Ingersoll, Leavenworth, Thelma Redding, Littlestoe is preceded in dewn, Pa., Judy Bair and Joyce Hurwitz, both of Maryland, and her lifelong friend Sharon Richardson, as well as many cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
