Helen E. Palmer, 78, of Leavenworth received her wings with her family at her side on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at her residence.
 She was born on September 21, 1944, to William and Helen (Wendel) Endriss in Leavenworth, Kan. She attended local schools and was a high school graduate. Helen’s passion was bowling and loved to participate in tournaments. Her other activities included crochet, reading, traveling and going to the casinos. She worked for the City of Leavenworth as a purchasing agent for over 20 years, retiring in 2011.
 Helen is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Jim) Snider, son, Bruce Martin, daughter, Reita (Tim) Grafke, step-sons Ralph (Tonya) Palmer and Jay (Lora) Palmer. Sister, Lea Crim, and brothers William Endriss, Paul (Lisa) Endriss and Chris (Lisa) Endriss. Nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law, Bennie (Rudy) Crim.
 A visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2101 10th Ave. from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be Friday, January 20, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran church at 10 a.m. with Pastor Damian Snyder officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Muncie Cemetery immediately after the service.
 Memorials may be directed in her name to the family, St. Luke’s Hospice or the Trinity Lutheran church (Bell Fund).  Arrangements have been entrusted to Belden Larkin Funeral Home.
