Jeffery Kyle Dedeke

Jeffery Kyle Dedeke went to be with the Lord on June 11 at the age of 54.

Jeff is lovingly remembered by his wife, Tammy; children, Kelsey and Eli; daughter-in-law, Haley; granddaughters, Lynlee and Preslee; parents, Larry and Sharon; sister, Shell Kueter; father-in-law, David Morris; brothers, Andy (Wendy) and Matt (Jean); and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kylie.

Jeff was born on January 16, 1968, in Leavenworth, Kan. After graduating from Leavenworth High School in 1986, Jeff joined the Marine Corps. He joined the Leavenworth Police Department in 1989. Jeff also worked at Dedeke’s Automotive. He joined the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office in 2001, working alongside his brother and best friend, Andy.

Jeff married the love of his life, Tammy, on April 21, 1990, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Together, they had three children. In 2020, Jeff was overjoyed to become a “papa” to granddaughters, Lynlee and Preslee. Jeff enjoyed his work at the Sheriff’s Office, turning

Jeff enjoyed his work at the Sheriff’s Office, turning houses, and woodworking. He stubbornly took any challenge, big or small, head on. More than anything, he loved being a devoted husband to Tammy, a dad to his kids, and a papa to his girls.

The visitation is being held on Wednesday, June 22 at Westside Family Church in Leavenworth from 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 23 at Westside Family Church at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kansas Sheriff’s Association.
