Judith Rose Knight-Wurtele, 76, passed away on 7 February 2022, at Twin Oaks Assisted Living Facility in Lansing, KS. She was born July 18, 1945, in Maryville, MO to Donald and Leona Knight.

She was a devoted Mother and “Nana” who loved her family so much. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Shannon and husband David Lutgen, three grandchildren who she dearly loved, Jacob Lutgen, Nicholas Lutgen and Jessica Lutgen all of Basehor, KS.

She is also survived by her sister Marilyn Long of Lincoln, NE; sister Margaret “Peggy” Barcus and husband Mike of Mission Viejo, CA; and brother, Donald “Jerry” Knight of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Leona Knight; one sister, Patty Greb and later Pattyʼs husband John; and her brother-in-law John Long.

A celebration of life will take place at Davis Funeral Chapel on 18 February 22 at 1:00 P.M. with visitation at Noon, with Chaplain Sam Sanford officiating. Inurnment will take place at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS at 2:30 P.M. She will be taken to the cemetery on her husbandʼs motorcycle……it will be her last ride.
