1947-2022

Linda S. (Schlickelman) Banks, 74, Leavenworth, Kan., passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022.

She was born December 5, 1947 in Odessa, Mo. to Arnold and Reba (Hensley) Schlickelman.

She married Ronald Banks on December 21, 1968. She was a military wife for 22 years. Ronald survives of the home.

Clean since July 12, 1989, Linda was instrumental in starting the Narcotics Anonymous chapter in Leavenworth. She devoted a lot of time to helping others in the program and was active in Alcoholics Anonymous as well.

Linda loved to sew and do crafts, and enjoyed bowling, bingo and visiting with friends and family. She had a laugh that was contagious and a smile that lit up any room.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Richard and Danny Schlickleman; and maternal grandparents, Maggie and Floyd Hensley.

Additional survivors include her children, Theresa Banks and Thomas Banks; two beautiful granddaughters, Alannah Nicole Kincaid and Olivia Gabrielle Banks; sister-in-law, Linda J. Schlickelman; niece, Julie Ann Schlickelman; nephews, Danny Schlickelman and Daniel Byrd; and her grandpuppy, Shylo.

Linda was a member of Kansas Cremation Services. Memorial Service and Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Narcotics Anonymous World Service. Online guestbook and obituary at www. kansascremation.com.
