Martha L. Jones passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Martha was born on June 14, 1942, in Parsons, Kan. along with her twin, Marguerite, to parents Alma and Alfred White.

Martha attended Pittsburgh University where she received her masters degree in teaching. She used the degree to teach in many school districts over the years. She retired from teaching special Ed at McLouth, Kan. in the mid 90’s.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, watching old movies, and making quilts. She donated many of her quilts over the years to Quilts of Valor.

She is survived by her three children: Brian Jones of Ottawa, Lori (John) Cooney of Leavenworth, and Scott (Michelle) Jones of Leavenworth, as well as her six grandchildren: Skylar Porter, Sierra Hiatt, Shyanne Jones, Damen Kenworthy, Zach and Devon Jones. She is also survived by her brother, Rusty Paulson of Ottawa.

Martha will be interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Leavenworth, Kan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Leavenworth County Humane Society or Hope Pet Rescue in Leavenworth.
