LEAVENWORTH – July 4, 1947 – December 23, 2021
Mary Edith Jennings, 74, of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away peacefully on Thursday December 23, 2021 at the St. Lukes Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was born on July 4, 1947, the daughter of Henry Glenn and Frankie Brune. She has lived in many different places including the Leavenworth / Lansing area and Kingman Arizona.
Mary was not only a wife, mother of 2 sons and grandmother but a cherished friend to many. She will be greatly missed by family and all that knew her. We love you Mom!
Over her lifetime, Mary worked many different various positions from being a waitress to her final choice of being a very successful Escrow Title Agent.
Mary married Richard Jennings on August 1, 1967 in Papillion, Nebraska. He passed away on April 17, 2006 in their home in Kingman Arizona.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Frankie Brune, her 4 brothers Henry Lee, Raymond, Albert, Bill Brune; and her 3 sisters Irene Cline, Carrie Moppin and Bonnie Hudson. She was also preceded by her grandson Brandon Lee Nolan.
Mary is survived by her 2 sons, Claude Wayne Jennings of Leavenworth, Richard Nolan and his wife Tammy along with their son and her grandson Sandy of Phoenix Arizona.
Mary’s final wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes spread in the same location in Arizona as her late husband / soulmate Richard Jennings, allowing her to be rejoined with him once again. This reunion will be made possible by her eldest son Richard Nolan, his wife Tammy with their son Sandy.
There will be a memorial and celebration scheduled by her youngest son Claude Wayne Jennings. The date and location will be announced once arrangements have been made.
