Michael Ray Klingler went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2022, in Morgantown, W.V. Born January 21, 1954, he was raised in Leavenworth, Kan.
He made West Virginia his retirement home. Michael is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Paul and Esther Irene Klingler, his brothers Joseph Jr., and Paul, as well as his sister Janice Irene Klingler Rodriguez.
He leaves behind his nephew Jerrod Dustin Rodriguez, JD’s wife Rachel, his great-nephew Diego, and his great-niece Isabella. Michael stayed a proud Marine his whole life. He guarded U.S. Embassies around the Middle East during the Vietnam era and before the bombing of the barracks in Beirut.
Michael never had any children of his own, but if you are compelled to honor his service and his life please make a donation to the Marine Corp children’s fund Toys for Tots. Internment will be at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Lansing, Kan. and a celebration of life will both take place at a later date.
