Jack Walker of the Henry Leavenworth Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution recently received a Quilt of Valor. The presentation took place at the Shawnee Mission Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution meeting. Walker served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War where he was wounded in action. Walker retired from the Army after a long and distinguished career and then worked on Fort Leavenworth before retirement. Shawnee Mission DAR Chapter Regent Leslie Harris designed the Quilt of Valor.
