Leavenworth's Pilot Knob Amateur Radio Club recently participated in the annual American Radio Relay League competition. The club set up portable stations at the Leavenworth VA park. Stations were set up to operate on high frequency bands using side band voice, Morse code and digital operations. Approximately four stations operated. There was a visit from a Lansing Boy Scout Troop to familiarize them with ham radio. Other local visitors also attended. The national radio competition, which can include international contacts, is to see which clubs and or stations can make the most contacts. Photo Credit: Submitted
