Ronald Dean Willcott, Ron, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 23, 2022, at the age of 70.

Ron was born in Leavenworth, KS, on November 3, 1951, to Walter F. and Annabel J. Willcott. He attended Immaculate Conception School and was a 1969 graduate of Immaculata High School. He graduated from IT Technical School in Kansas City, MO. Ron worked at KSHB-TV in the early 1970’s then for the City of Overland Park in the traffic division. He finished his work career preparing taxes. Ron was an active member of St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church. He participated in various ministries and was always helping others. Ron spent many hours helping with children’s programs at St. Gabriel’s School, setting up lighting and speakers.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife Rosanne (Failoni) Willcott; and his father Walter Willcott. He is survived by Rosanne’s children Annamarie Leeper (Aaron), Anthony Accurso, Leo Accurso, Louis Accurso; and three grandchildren Sophie and Benjamin Leeper, and Tyler Accurso. In addition, Ron is survived by his mother Annabel Willcott; and two sisters Della Willcott and Sr. Amy Willcott, SCL, all of Leavenworth, KS; his good friend Ken Hawthorn; and two children from his first marriage. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rosary at 12:30 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, at St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church in Kansas City, MO.
