The annual Leavenworth County Safety Day was held Thursday at the Council on Aging. County employees were treated to lunch and handed giveaways as they visited individual booths to learn about various safety topics. Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson, the Leavenworth County Sheriffs Office, MARC, Southern Star Pipelines and the Kansas Highway Patrol were a few of the organizations with booths at the event.
