Virginia Eileen (Fangohr) Thieme “Rosebud” sadly passed away on 11/24/2021 at the age of 87.

Virginia graduated Leavenworth High School in 1952 and married Robert “Bob” C Thieme in 1953. They travelled throughout his military career before settling back in Leavenworth in 1971, raising 4 children along the way. Virginia was known for her volunteer work in the American Cancer Society and other organizations, and for kindness and giving to many charities. She was known to many as “Rosebud” due to her time spent in the CB Club of Leavenworth, where she was secretary and treasurer. After Bob’s death in 1994, she moved to Fair Grove, MO where she enjoyed simple country living, independence, animals and nature.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mable and William Fangohr, her husband, Robert C Thieme and daughter Susan D Lovelady. She is also predeceased by her 4 brothers and their spouses – William“Bill” and Mary Fangohr, Dale and Mary Fangohr, Ralph and Margaret Fangohr, and Lyle and Kay Fangohr.

She is survived by her son Robert A Thieme, his wife Kathleen, and grandchildren Marco Martinez and Cristina Grech. Also, son Steven B Thieme, daughter Diane N Thieme and her wife Debra, and grandchildren from Susan Lovelady, Bree N Gardiner and Alexander L Lovelady.

Virginia was cremated and there will be no funeral services per her wishes. She has asked that in lieu of flowers, please donate to any animal charity of your choice.
