Carrying an American flag, Chad Young walks along 20th Street on Friday in Leavenworth. Young, a Republican candidate for Kansas' 2nd Congressional District seat, said he plans to walk across the 2nd District. Young, who lives in Lawrence, said Friday was his third day of walking through areas of the district. He estimates it will take him 67 days to complete his walking tour. Other Republican candidates for the 2nd Congressional District are Derek Schmidt, Jeff Kahrs, Michael A. Ogle and Shawn Tiffany.
